A Photographic Memory

I recently discovered an amazing thing.  You can mass delete photos.

I know.  I know.

You probably already knew that.  I’m sure everyone knew that. Except me.   I’m a low tech girl in a high tech world, remember?

Finally being able to whittle the images down made the overwhelming task not so, ahem, whelming?  Is that a word?

I now find myself at midnight going through photos from July when our family took a little day trip to the easternmost point of the United States.

Lubec, Maine.

Home of the Quoddy Head Light House, that infamous candy striped light house that you can’t really appreciate from this picture. Therefore, if you continue to scroll down you’ll be rewarded with a few color images.

You’re welcome.

IMG_8071.jpgAfter a few hours of roaming the beach of Quoddy Head State Park and the nearby town of Lubec, we made our way west to Roque Bluffs State Park.

Where we spent a few hours just exploring the beach.

And watching the birds.  IMG_8428

And watching our oldest chase the birds…..

As much as I adore black and white photos- they don’t do summer in Maine justice.

IMG_7826.JPGIMG_7832.JPGThis one is actually from Jasper Beach.  Set between Quoddy Head State Park and Roque Bluffs State Park, it’s surely worth a stop.  Why?  Because it’s a rock beach, and it’s beautiful.  I just don’t have many photos from it. Oops.
